Project description
Industry meets science. While the facades of the old industrial hall remain almest unchanged in order to preserve the historical character, an intermediate ceiling is installed on a steel structure inside. The hall consists of 3 sections of different designs, which were built between 1898 and 1963. New space is created by the new parts of the building inside the hall, which deliberately fade into the background due to their simple shape and structure. In the future, various industrial companies and partners of the technical universities will develop and produce here and train the specialists of tomorrow in one place. In addition, a multifunctional inner courtyard will be created between the converted industrial hall and another existing hall, which will serve to facilitate communicative exchange.
